Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Makra Peak, first make your way to the main road connecting to the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road (N-15). From Makra Peak, follow the signs leading to the N-15. Once on the N-15, head towards Mansehra. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the town of Mansehra. Continue straight through Mansehra and follow the signs for Naran. After about 20 kilometers from Mansehra, you will find signs directing you to Siri Lake. The last stretch may involve a detour on a dirt road, which can be quite bumpy, so drive carefully. Ensure your vehicle has good clearance for this section.

• Public Transportation

  For those opting for public transportation, you can catch a bus or a shared taxi from Makra Peak to Mansehra. These services are frequent and should cost around 200 PKR. Upon reaching Mansehra, you will need to find a bus or shared taxi heading towards Naran. These typically leave from the main bus station in Mansehra. The fare to Naran is about 300 PKR. Inform the driver that you need to stop near Siri Lake, as they will know the area. You may need to walk the last segment if there are no direct services to the lake.

• Hiking

  If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can also consider trekking to Siri Lake from Mansehra. Start your hike early in the morning for the best experience. The trail is approximately 12 kilometers and will take about 4-5 hours to reach the lake. Ensure you have sturdy hiking boots, enough water, and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way. Follow the natural paths through the scenic landscape, and be sure to ask locals for directions if you feel uncertain.
