Start from the Rawalpindi Railway Station or Saddar area, where you can find several bus stops. Look for a bus heading towards Faizabad Interchange. Once you reach Faizabad, transfer to the bus heading to Rawat. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you're going to Rawat Fort. The bus will drop you off at the Rawat bus stop. From the bus stop, you can walk towards the Grand Trunk Road, and you will see signs leading you to Rawat Fort.
Rickshaw
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a rickshaw from any location in Rawalpindi. Simply tell the rickshaw driver to take you to Rawat Fort, located on the Grand Trunk Road in Rawat. They will take you directly to the fort, and the ride should take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Taxi (Ride-Hailing Service)
Using a ride-hailing app like Careem or Uber, you can request a ride to Rawat Fort. Enter 'Rawat Fort' or the address 'Grand Trunk Rd, Rawat, Islamabad' in the app. The driver will pick you up from your location in Rawalpindi and take you directly to the fort. The journey may take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Walking/Combination with Public Transport
If you enjoy walking and want a more adventurous route, you can walk to the nearest bus stop in Saddar. Take a bus towards Faizabad as mentioned before, and once you reach Faizabad, walk to the Rawat bus stop. After getting off the bus at Rawat, you can walk to the fort, which is located a short distance from the bus stop. This combination allows you to experience the local environment.
