Getting There

Walking
From Skardu city center, head towards the main road leading to the airport. Walk along the main road until you reach the intersection with Satpara Road. Turn right onto Satpara Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 15-20 minutes. You will see signs pointing towards Manthal Buddha Rock. Follow these signs, and as you approach, you will notice the rock carvings on your left.

Trekking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can take a trekking route from the Skardu Fort. Start at Skardu Fort and take the path leading downhill towards the Indus River. Once you reach the river, follow the path along the riverbank towards Manthal. This trek will take you through beautiful landscapes and will take around 45 minutes to an hour. Stay on the trail, and eventually, you'll arrive at Manthal Buddha Rock.

Local Transport (Rickshaw)
You can find local rickshaws near the Skardu market area. Simply tell the driver 'Manthal Buddha Rock' or show them the location on your phone if you have internet access. The rickshaw will take you as close as possible to the rock, and the ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your journey.
