Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from the Skardu Bazaar, which is the central hub of the city. Head east towards the main road, and walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Khaplu Road. Continue walking along this road for approximately 2 kilometers. You will notice beautiful views of the surrounding mountains along the way. Keep an eye out for local signage pointing towards Manthal. Once you reach the Manthal area, follow the signs leading you to Ringchan rock, located on a small hillock offering a panoramic view of Skardu.

Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Skardu Bazaar. Start your ride towards Khaplu Road by following the same route as mentioned above. This route is relatively safe for biking, and you'll enjoy the fresh air and scenic views. After about 2 kilometers on Khaplu Road, look for signs towards Manthal. The last stretch may require you to dismount and walk, as the path may be uneven. Once you reach Ringchan rock, take a moment to enjoy the stunning views of the city.

Hiking
For the more adventurous, start your hike from the Skardu Bazaar. Follow the walking route to Khaplu Road and then head towards the Manthal area. From the main road, you will need to navigate some trails leading up to Ringchan rock. The hike is moderate and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry enough water. The last part of the hike involves a short ascent to the viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Skardu.
