Walking
If you are starting from the Lae Town Center, head southwest on Ahi Road towards the Main Wharf. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Independence Drive. Turn right onto Independence Drive and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for the signposts along the way. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will see the entrance to Lae War Cemetery on your left, marked by a stone gate.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Lae Town Center, locate the nearest bus stop. Take a bus heading towards the Lae Morobe Province area. Inform the driver that you are going to Lae War Cemetery; they will guide you on the best stop. The bus ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, walk back for about 200 meters. The cemetery entrance will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, begin your ride from Lae Town Center and head southwest on Ahi Road. Continue onto Independence Drive, cycling for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The ride should take about 10 minutes. Look for signage indicating Lae War Cemetery on your left as you approach the site. Ensure to ride cautiously as the roads can be busy.
