    If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Wewak. Head west on the Highway towards Dagua. Continue on the Highway for about 30 kilometers. As you approach Dagua, look for the signs to Pegawi Lookout indicated by local markers. Take a right turn onto a dirt road where you will see a small sign for Pegawi Lookout. Drive approximately 5 kilometers on this road, which may be rough, so proceed with caution. The lookout will be on your left, and you’ll know you are close when you see a viewpoint area with a small parking space.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Pegawi Lookout using public transportation, board a PMV (public motor vehicle) from Wewak heading towards Dagua. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you reach Dagua, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a motorcycle taxi to take you the remaining distance to Pegawi Lookout. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically should not exceed 20 PGK. The motorcycle ride will take about 15 minutes along the dirt road.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Dagua and prefer to walk to Pegawi Lookout, you can walk along the dirt road that leads directly to the lookout. The distance is approximately 5 kilometers. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path may be uneven in parts.
