If you are already in the Allegheny National Forest, head towards Route 321. From any point in the forest, navigate to Route 321, which is a major road running through the area. Follow Route 321 south until you reach the junction with Route 66. Turn left onto Route 66 and continue driving until you reach the town of Tionesta. Once in Tionesta, follow the signs for Route 62 north. After approximately 10 miles, you will see signs for Deerfield Township. Continue on Route 62 until you reach Deerfield Township. The Allegheny Islands Wilderness is located nearby. You may need to park in designated areas and then make a short hike or canoe trip to access the wilderness area directly.
