Getting There

Car
From any location within Allegheny National Forest, head southeast toward US-219 S. Merge onto US-219 S and continue for approximately 30 miles. Once you reach the town of Bradford, take the exit onto I-86 E toward Corning. Stay on I-86 E for about 25 miles until you reach Exit 48 for US-220 S. Merge onto US-220 S and continue for about 30 miles. Then, take the exit for US-322 E toward Lewisburg. Follow US-322 E for approximately 50 miles until you reach the junction with I-81 S. Merge onto I-81 S and follow signs for Harrisburg. Once in Harrisburg, take exit 67A to merge onto I-76 E/Pennsylvania Turnpike toward Philadelphia. After about 35 miles, take exit 286 for US-222 S toward Ephrata. Continue on US-222 S for about 15 miles until you reach Ephrata. The Ephrata Cloister is located at 632 W Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522, on your right.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from any nearby city to the Ephrata area. For example, Greyhound offers service to Lancaster, PA. From Lancaster, you can take a local bus (Red Rose Transit Authority) to Ephrata. Once in Ephrata, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Ephrata Cloister, which is approximately 1.5 miles from the bus stop at 100 E. Main St. Expect to pay around $15 for the bus ticket from Lancaster and around $10 for a taxi to the Cloister.
