Merge onto PA-39 East, which will take you through a scenic part of the Appalachian Mountains. Follow PA-39 for about 8 miles until you reach Fishing Creek Valley Road. Turn left onto Fishing Creek Valley Road. The Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area will be on your left after approximately 1.5 miles. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available on-site.

From there, you can take a local bus (Capital Area Transit - CAT) that services routes to areas near the preserve. Check the CAT website for the most current routes and schedules; you may need to transfer to a taxi or rideshare service for the final leg of your journey, as public transport does not go directly to the preserve.
