If you are driving from the center of Happy Valley (State College), head northeast on W College Ave toward S Allen St. Continue for about 5.5 miles until you reach the intersection with PA-550 N. Turn right onto PA-550 N and continue for approximately 7 miles. You will then see signs for Scotia Range Rd. Turn left onto Scotia Range Rd and follow the road until you reach Scotia Barrens, which should be on your left. There is no fee for parking in the area.
Public Transportation

To reach Scotia Barrens using public transportation, start at the CATA Bus Terminal in downtown State College. Take the CATA Bus Route 7 (Port Matilda) heading towards Port Matilda. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Scotia Range Rd stop. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles down Scotia Range Rd to reach Scotia Barrens.
