From the center of Lancaster, head to the nearest bus stop at Penn Square. Take the Red Rose Transit bus #1 towards Strasburg. The bus will take you through scenic areas of Lancaster County. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Gap Rd and Strasburg Rd. From there, walk about 0.5 miles east on Gap Rd. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania will be on your left at 300 Gap Rd.

Rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Lancaster. Start your ride on the Rail Trail, which connects to various paths leading towards Strasburg. Follow the trail signs directing you towards Strasburg. After about 6 miles, you will arrive at Strasburg.
