Ohiopyle Low Bridge: A Scenic Gateway to Adventure

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving within Ohiopyle State Park, navigate towards the Ohiopyle River access area. From the main entrance, follow the signs directing you to the Ohiopyle Falls area. Once at the falls, continue on the main road (Route 381) toward Ohiopyle Low Bridge. The bridge is approximately 2 miles from the falls, and you will see it on your left side as you approach the Ohiopyle area. There is no parking directly at the bridge, so look for designated parking areas along the road.

• Public Transportation

  If using public transportation, you can take the bus service that operates from nearby towns to Ohiopyle. Once you arrive in Ohiopyle, you will need to walk or use a bicycle rental service available in the town. Head west on Main Street, and then turn onto Route 381 towards the Ohiopyle Falls area. The walk to Ohiopyle Low Bridge is about 1.5 miles and takes approximately 30-40 minutes on foot. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay on designated pathways.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, Ohiopyle State Park features several bike paths. Rent a bike in town and take the trail that runs alongside the Youghiogheny River. Follow the trail towards the Ohiopyle Falls area, then continue on Route 381. Ohiopyle Low Bridge is approximately 2 miles from the falls and can be reached easily by bike, providing a scenic ride along the river.
