If you are near the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Sixth Avenue, head south on Sixth Avenue. Continue walking for about two blocks; you will pass by various shops and restaurants. After the second block, you will arrive at Mellon Square, located on your left side at the intersection with Smithfield Street.

Public Transit (Bus)
If you are further away, you can take a Port Authority bus to a nearby stop. Look for the bus routes that service Downtown Pittsburgh. A common stop is at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Smithfield Street. From there, walk two blocks north on Smithfield Street, then turn right onto Sixth Avenue, and you'll find Mellon Square on your right. Note that bus fares are typically $2.75, and you should have exact change or a bus pass.

If you are near a light rail station, you can take the 'T' light rail service to the Station Square or Wood Street stations. If you get off at Wood Street, exit the station and head towards Sixth Avenue. Walk east along Wood Street for one block until you reach Sixth Avenue, then turn left on Sixth Avenue. Mellon Square will be on your left after a short walk. The light rail fare is $2.50, and you can purchase tickets at the station.
