From the main entrance of Machu Picchu, begin by taking the main pathway leading into the ruins. Follow the signs towards 'Intihuatana' (the ritual stone associated with astronomy) as it is a central landmark. After passing the Intihuatana, continue straight until you reach the Temple of the Sun. From here, take the left path that leads uphill. Keep following the path as it winds through the archaeological site. As you go, look for signs that indicate the way to the 'Muro perimetrico.' You will eventually reach a viewpoint area that overlooks the surrounding valley. The Muro perimetrico is located along the perimeter of this area. Be sure to take your time and enjoy the stunning views along the way.
