From the city center of Cagayan de Oro, head to the nearest jeepney terminal. Look for a jeepney that is headed to 'Malasag'. You can catch one at the Divisoria area, commonly at the corner of Velez and Burgos Streets. The fare is approximately 15 PHP. Inform the driver that you are going to Mapawa Nature Park or Malasag. The jeepney ride will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the Malasag area, you will need to get off at the Malasag Eco Tourism Village.
Tricycle
After alighting from the jeepney at Malasag Eco Tourism Village, you can hire a tricycle to take you to Mapawa Nature Park. Make sure to negotiate the fare, which should be around 50-100 PHP, depending on the distance. The tricycle ride will take approximately 10 minutes to reach the main entrance of Mapawa Nature Park. Confirm the driver knows the location.
