To reach Mount Makiling via public transportation, take a jeepney or bus from Taal Volcano to Calamba. The fare should be around 50-100 PHP, depending on your starting point. From Calamba, you can catch a jeepney heading to Los Baños, which will cost approximately 20 PHP. Once in Los Baños, ask locals for the jeepney routes that will take you closer to Mount Makiling, or take a tricycle for about 30-50 PHP to reach the trailhead.

Hiking

From the parking area or tricycle drop-off point, you will need to hike to reach the summit of Mount Makiling. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for a moderate to challenging hike. Bring water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. There may be a small entrance fee for hikers, usually around 20-50 PHP, which goes towards maintaining the trails.
