Boat
From your accommodation in Camiguin, head to the village of Mahinog, which is located on the eastern side of the island. You can take a tricycle or a habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to Mahinog. Once you arrive at the Mahinog port, look for a boat terminal. There are regular boats that operate to Mantigue Island. The boat ride typically takes around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule of the boats as they may vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions. It's advisable to buy your ticket at the terminal and ask about the return schedule to ensure you have a way back.
Tricycle
If you are starting from Mambajao, the capital of Camiguin, take a tricycle to Mahinog. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, and the trip will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once in Mahinog, follow the previous instructions to get to the boat terminal for Mantigue Island.
Habal-habal (Motorbike Taxi)
If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can take a habal-habal from various locations in Camiguin directly to Mahinog. This option allows for a faster and more flexible travel time. Ensure that you agree on the fare before starting your journey. Once you reach Mahinog, head to the port to catch a boat to Mantigue Island.
