Walking
If you are in the town of Mambajao, start by heading towards the main road (National Highway). Walk north along the National Highway for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and eateries along the way, which can be a good stop if you need refreshments. Continue walking until you reach the junction for Catarman, which is well marked. Take a left turn at the junction, and walk another 5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the Old Spanish Church Ruins on your right side, just off the highway. The ruins are situated at the address: 6J2M+QVH, National Highway, Catarman, Camiguin.
Tricycle
From any point in Mambajao, you can easily flag down a tricycle (local transportation). Ask the driver to take you to the Old Spanish Church Ruins in Catarman. The fare is usually around 50-100 PHP depending on your starting point. The driver will take you north along the National Highway. After approximately 10-15 minutes, they will drop you off directly at the ruins or as close as possible. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point with the driver to ensure you can easily find the entrance.
Motorbike Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike. You can rent one in Mambajao or any nearby town. Once you have your motorbike, head north on the National Highway towards Catarman. Follow the main road for about 7 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the Old Spanish Church Ruins, located on the right side of the road. There is usually parking available nearby, so you can safely leave your bike and explore the ruins.
