If you are starting from the town center of Mambajao, head east and make your way to the local market. From the market, follow the main road heading towards Guinsiliban. This road is known as the 'Camiguin Circumferential Road.' Continue walking along this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Guinsiliban. Look for signs that indicate the direction to Guinsiliban. After reaching the junction, continue on the path for another 2 kilometers, and you will see signs pointing towards Mount Butay.

From any location in Mambajao, you can take a tricycle to Guinsiliban. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Mount Butay. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Guinsiliban, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest access point or trailhead for Mount Butay. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to the actual trail.

After reaching the trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 2 kilometers to reach the summit of Mount Butay. The trail is moderately challenging, so ensure you wear proper footwear and bring sufficient water.
