From the center of Mambajao, the capital of Camiguin, you can take a tricycle to Mahinog. Inform the driver that you are heading to Taguines Lagoon. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. You will pass by scenic views of the island along the way. Once you reach Mahinog, ask the driver to drop you off near the local market, as it is a common landmark.
Walking
After being dropped off at the local market in Mahinog, you can walk to Taguines Lagoon. Head east on the main road from the market. Look for signs pointing towards Taguines Lagoon. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk. You will cross a small bridge over a creek; continue following the road until you see the lagoon on your left.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mambajao. Ride towards Mahinog and follow the same route mentioned above.
