If you are starting from Fuente Osmeña Circle, head south on Osmeña Boulevard. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the National Road. At this point, you can either take a left or go straight. Go straight and keep an eye out for the signs indicating Plaza Independencia. After about 500 meters, you will see the entrance to Plaza Independencia on your right.

From Colon Street, find a jeepney terminal and look for jeepneys heading to 'Pier' or 'Mandaue'. Board the jeepney and pay the fare, which is usually around 8-10 PHP. Inform the driver that you are going to Plaza Independencia. Once you reach your stop (which should take about 10-15 minutes), get off and walk back towards the park, which will be on your left after a short 5-minute walk.
