Walking
From the city center of Legazpi, head towards the Legazpi Boulevard. Walk along the boulevard heading southeast until you reach the intersection with Rizal Street. Continue straight on Rizal Street until you reach the junction with Peñaranda Street. Turn left onto Peñaranda Street and walk until you reach the Daraga Church. From Daraga Church, head towards the direction of Mount Mayon, and you will see signs for Black Lava Trail. Follow the signs and the trail to the entrance of Black Lava Trail located at 6P36+MCF, Daraga, Albay.

Tricycle
From your location in Legazpi, find a nearby tricycle terminal. Ask the tricycle driver to take you to Daraga Church. Once you arrive at Daraga Church, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Black Lava Trail. The driver will be familiar with the area and will guide you to the entrance point.
