Car
If you're driving from Puerto Princesa, head north on the National Highway (AH26) for about 80 kilometers (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours). Look for the sign for San Vicente and turn left onto the road leading to the town center. Continue until you reach the San Vicente town proper. Once in the town, ask locals for directions to Pamuayan Waterfalls, as the road is unmarked. You may need to park your car at a local establishment or designated parking area and take a short hike to the waterfall. Ensure to check local conditions and possibly hire a guide for the hike.
Public Transportation
From Puerto Princesa, take a bus bound for San Vicente. Buses leave from the San Jose Terminal. The fare is approximately 150 PHP and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on stops. Once you arrive in San Vicente, you can either walk to the town center or hire a tricycle (around 50-100 PHP) to get to the local area where you can find guides or directions to Pamuayan Waterfalls. It's advisable to book a local guide who can help you navigate the unmarked paths to the waterfall.
Tricycle
In San Vicente, once you have reached the town center, hire a tricycle to take you closer to the Pamuayan Waterfalls. The fare may vary but expect to pay around 100-200 PHP depending on the distance and negotiation. The tricycle will drop you off at the nearest point where you can begin your hike towards the waterfalls.
Hiking
After being dropped off by the tricycle, you will need to hike approximately 1-2 kilometers to reach Pamuayan Waterfalls. The trail may not be well-marked, so it's crucial to have a local guide if possible. Be prepared for a moderately challenging hike, and ensure you wear suitable footwear. The hike should take around 30-45 minutes.
