Start from the Sagada Municipal Hall, which is a well-known landmark in the town. Exit the hall and head south on the main road (Bontoc-Sagada Road) for about 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Sagada Underground River. As you walk, you'll pass by various local shops and eateries. Continue until you reach a junction where a sign points to the Underground River trail. Turn left at this junction and follow the path for approximately 20 minutes until you arrive at the entrance of the Sagada Underground River.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous and are at the Sagada Hanging Coffins site, you can hike to the Sagada Underground River from there. Start at the Hanging Coffins viewpoint and take the trail that leads downwards towards the river. This hike will take roughly 30-40 minutes. Follow the river path down, keeping to the designated trails to ensure safety. You will eventually arrive at the Underground River entrance. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
