From Subic Bay Freeport Zone, walk to the Subic Bay Bus Terminal located near the main gate. Board a bus heading to Olongapo City. The fare is usually around PHP 15-20 and the travel time is about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Olongapo City, exit the bus and head to the Olongapo City Public Market.

At the Olongapo City Public Market, locate the jeepney terminal. Look for a jeepney that has a sign indicating 'Bataan' or 'Balanga.' Board the jeepney, and the fare is approximately PHP 30-40. Upon reaching Pilar, Bataan, disembark from the jeepney and ask locals for directions to Mount Samat. It is about a 20-minute walk from the jeepney drop-off point to the foot of Mount Samat. Follow the main road, and you will see signs directing you toward the Mount Samat Shrine and the cross.
