If you're traveling by car, start from Zamboanga City. Take the National Highway (also known as the Zamboanga-Sibugay Road) towards the direction of the Zamboanga Peninsula. Continue driving for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (around 70 km) until you reach the junction for Barangay Bunguiao. Turn left at the junction and follow the road signs for Buguias Island Beach. The final stretch will take you through scenic rural roads. Make sure to keep an eye on your GPS or a map application for the exact location, as some areas may have limited signage.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the Zamboanga City bus terminal. Look for buses that head towards the Zamboanga Peninsula, specifically those that pass through Barangay Bunguiao. The fare is approximately PHP 50-80 depending on the bus company. Once you reach the Bunguiao area, you can hire a tricycle or a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Buguias Island Beach. The tricycle fare is around PHP 100-150 for the short ride. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.

Combination of Car and Boat
If you want to enjoy a more adventurous route, you can drive to the nearest port and take a boat to Buguias Island Beach. From Zamboanga City, drive to the nearby port of Lantaka, which is about 10-15 minutes from the city center. Parking is available at the port, but it may incur a small fee (around PHP 20-50). Once at the port, you can hire a local boatman to take you to Buguias Island Beach. The boat ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes and can cost around PHP 500-800, depending on the size of the boat and number of passengers.
