Travel Guide to Fountain on the Maria Magdalena Square

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), head southwest towards the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice). Exit the square through the southern end, walking towards St. Mary's Basilica (Bazylika Mariacka). Continue straight along Grodzka Street until you reach the Vistula Boulevards. Turn left onto the boulevards and walk until you reach the Wawel Castle area. From there, continue walking along the river heading north, then turn right onto Stradomska Street. Follow Stradomska Street and then turn left onto plac Świętej Marii Magdaleny. The fountain will be on your left as you approach the square.

• Public Transport

  From the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), walk to the nearest tram stop, which is located at 'Teatr Bagatela'. Take tram number 6 towards 'Krowodrza Górka'. Ride for three stops and get off at 'Plac Inwalidów'. From there, walk towards the intersection and turn left onto plac Świętej Marii Magdaleny. The fountain will be located in the square ahead.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations available throughout Krakow. Start at the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny) and head west. Use the bike lanes to navigate through the city, following the signs towards Wawel Castle. Once you reach the castle, continue along the riverbank on the designated bike path until you reach the intersection of plac Świętej Marii Magdaleny. The fountain will be visible as you approach the square.
