Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Kraków's Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), head southwest on Floriańska Street toward the Barbican. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the Vistula Boulevards. Once you arrive at the boulevards, turn left and walk along the riverbank until you see Wawel Hill. As you approach Wawel Castle, you will find the Wawel Dragon statue located at the base of the castle, near the river. The statue is easily recognizable and is a popular photo spot.

Public Transport
From the Main Market Square, walk to the nearest tram stop at 'Teatr Bagatela.' Board tram number 8 or 18, which heads towards 'Wawel.' After just two stops, get off at 'Wawel' stop. From there, walk down the hill towards the Vistula River, where you will find the Wawel Dragon statue at the base of Wawel Castle.

If you are at Kazimierz (the Jewish Quarter), walk north on Szeroka Street towards Miodowa Street. Turn left on Miodowa and continue straight until you reach the Vistula Boulevards. Once you reach the river, turn right and walk along the Boulevards until you see Wawel Hill. The Wawel Dragon statue is located at the base of the hill, right by the river.
