Getting There

    If you are in the heart of Stare Miasto, the easiest way to reach St. Mary's Basilica is by walking. The basilica is located at plac Mariacki 5, just a short stroll away. Head towards the large square known as Rynek Główny (Main Market Square). As you approach the square, keep an eye out for the tall spires of the basilica. If you're starting from the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), walk straight down towards the south side of the square. The basilica will be directly in front of you, at the edge of the square near the corner with plac Mariacki. This walk should take no more than 5-10 minutes, depending on your starting point.

    While St. Mary's Basilica is easily accessible on foot from any point in Stare Miasto, if you are further away or coming from the surrounding areas, you can use the tram service. The nearest tram stop to St. Mary's Basilica is 'Teatr Bagatela'. From there, you can board tram number 1, 3, 4, or 8. Ride the tram for just one stop to the 'Sukiennice' stop, which is right next to the Main Market Square. After disembarking, follow the walking directions above to reach the basilica.
