Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Szczawnica, which is well-connected to the main roads. Take the DK47 road towards Nowy Targ. After approximately 10 km, turn left onto the road leading to Wysoki Wierch. There are parking areas near the trailhead where you can leave your vehicle. Be prepared to pay a small parking fee, which is usually around 10 PLN for a day.
Public Transportation
To reach Wysoki Wierch via public transportation, take a bus from Szczawnica to the nearby village of Krościenko nad Dunajcem. Buses run regularly, and the fare is about 5 PLN. Once in Krościenko, you can either hike or take a taxi to the base of Wysoki Wierch. The hiking trail begins from the village and is well-marked. The walk from Krościenko to the trailhead takes about 30 minutes.
Hiking
From the parking area or the village of Krościenko, follow the marked hiking trail to Wysoki Wierch. The hike is moderately challenging and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you carry water and snacks, as there are no facilities on the trail. The trail offers stunning views of the Pieniny Mountains, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
