Car
If you are driving, start your journey in Zakopane, which is the largest town in the Podhale region. From Zakopane, head west on the DK47 road. After approximately 6 km, you will reach the entrance to Tatra National Park. There is a parking area where you can leave your car. Please note that parking fees may apply, typically around 20 PLN for a full day.
Public Transportation
To reach Sarnia Skała via public transportation, take a bus or minibus from Zakopane to the Tatra National Park entrance. Buses to the park run regularly from the main bus station in Zakopane. The bus fare is approximately 5-10 PLN. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Sarnia Skała. Follow the marked trails leading into the park.
Walking
Once you are at the Tatra National Park entrance, follow the blue trail leading to Sarnia Skała. The hike is about 2 km and will take approximately 30 minutes. The trail is well-marked, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water, as there are no facilities along the trail.
