Walking
From the heart of Old Town, head towards the Barbican (Barbakan) monument. Exit the Old Town through the entrance next to the Barbican. Once you are out, continue straight onto the street called 'Podwale'. You will walk for about 200 meters. Keep an eye out for the large intersection ahead. When you reach the intersection, turn left onto 'Krakowskie Przedmieście'. This is the beginning of the Royal Route. Walk approximately 500 meters along this street, and you will find yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Royal Route, lined with historic buildings, cafes, and shops.

If you would prefer to use public transport, there are tram options available from various points in Old Town. Head to 'Stare Miasto' tram stop located near the Castle Square (plac Zamkowy).
