Start at the Aveiro train station (Estação de Aveiro). Exit the station and walk towards the city center. Follow the main road (Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho) until you reach the Praça da República, a large square in the heart of Aveiro. From the square, take Rua João Mendonça heading towards the canals. Continue straight until you reach the end of the canal near the Museu de Aveiro. Here, you can either take a boat ride to enjoy the scenic views or continue walking along the waterfront.
