Follow the Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Rua 1 de Maio. Turn left onto Rua 1 de Maio, and continue walking until you reach Praça da República, which will be on your right. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
