If you are driving from Ponta Delgada, take the EN1-1A road towards Ribeira Grande. After approximately 20 km, turn left onto the EN1-1A towards Lagoa do Fogo. Continue for about 15 km until you reach the junction for Lagoa Empadadas. Follow the signs; the road will lead you through beautiful landscapes. Parking is available near the lagoon.

From Ponta Delgada, take a bus to Ribeira Grande. The bus service is provided by SMTUC and runs several times a day. Once you arrive in Ribeira Grande, transfer to a local taxi or arrange for a ride-share service to Lagoa Empadadas, as public transport does not go directly to the lagoon. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and costs around €15-€20.
