From Beira Baixa, take the A23 highway towards Lisbon. Continue on the A23 for approximately 160 km until you reach the A1 highway. Merge onto A1 towards Lisbon. As you approach Lisbon, follow the signs for 'Cascais / 25 de Abril Bridge'. Keep right to continue onto the 25 de Abril Bridge, which will take you directly over the Tagus River. There are no tolls on this route, but be prepared to pay a toll of approximately €1.85 when crossing the bridge.

To reach the 25 April Bridge using public transportation, start by taking a train from Beira Baixa to Lisbon. Check the schedule for the nearest train station (such as Castelo Branco or Covilhã) and board a train heading to Lisbon's Santa Apolónia or Rossio station. Once in Lisbon, transfer to the metro or a bus that goes towards the 25 de Abril Bridge. Metro Line C or buses such as 28 or 714 will take you close to the bridge. Note that you will need to purchase a train ticket (approximately €10) and a metro/bus ticket (approximately €1.50) for the journey.
