Getting There

• Bus

  If you are in central Braga, walk to the main bus station 'Terminal Rodoviário de Braga'. From there, take the bus to Viana do Castelo. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Viana do Castelo bus station, exit the station and walk towards the river. Follow the signs pointing to 'Doca Comercial'. It is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station to the Navio Gil Eannes.

• Train

  From Braga's train station, take a train towards Viana do Castelo. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Viana do Castelo train station, exit the station and walk towards 'Doca Comercial'. It’s approximately a 20-minute walk from the train station to the Navio Gil Eannes. Just follow the signs to the riverfront.

• Walking

  If you are already in Viana do Castelo, make your way towards the city center. From Praça da República, head towards the river, and you will find the Doca Comercial area. Follow the waterfront promenade, and you will see the Navio Gil Eannes docked there. It should take you about 10-15 minutes of walking from the central square.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a direct route, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service from anywhere in Braga to the Navio Gil Eannes in Viana do Castelo. Simply provide the address 'Doca Comercial, 4900-321 Viana do Castelo' to the driver. The trip will take about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic.
