Getting There

Bus
From Braga, head to the bus station located at Avenida da Liberdade. Once there, purchase a ticket for Porto. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Porto’s bus station, exit and look for signs directing you to the metro station. Take the metro line A (blue) towards Estádio do Dragão and get off at the Casa da Música station. From Casa da Música, follow the signs to Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Turn right onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro and continue walking until you reach the Douro River. The Ponte da Arrábida will be visible from the riverbank.

Train
Make your way to the Braga train station located at Avenida da Estação. Buy a ticket to Porto São Bento station, which is the main train station in Porto. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at São Bento, exit the station and walk towards Praça de Almeida Garrett. From there, catch the metro line A (blue) at the São Bento metro station and travel towards Estádio do Dragão. Get off at the Casa da Música station. Exit the station and walk towards Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the riverbank, where you will be able to see the Ponte da Arrábida.

If you are already in Porto, you can walk to the Ponte da Arrábida. Start from the city center and head towards the Douro River. From the Ribeira area, walk along the riverbank towards the south. Continue walking until you reach Avenida de França. Follow Avenida de França, which will lead you directly to the Ponte da Arrábida. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace, and you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the river along the way.
