Public Transport
To reach Ponte do Freixo from the center of Braga, start by taking the train from Braga Station (Estação de Braga) to Porto. Board a train heading towards São Bento Station. From São Bento, exit the station and follow the signs to the metro station. Take the metro on Line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and transfer at Casa da Música to Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the stop for Campanhã. From Campanhã, you can walk to Ponte do Freixo, which is just a 15-minute walk away. Head east on Rua de Camões, then turn left onto Circular Regional Interna do Porto until you reach the bridge.
Walking
If you are within walking distance in Braga, start at the Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga). Head east on Rua do Raio and continue straight onto Rua D. Pedro V. Follow the road until you reach the bus station. From there, you can take a local bus that goes towards Porto, which will drop you near Campanhã. After reaching Campanhã, follow the earlier instructions to walk to Ponte do Freixo.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Braga to Ponte do Freixo. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Ponte do Freixo' located on Circular Regional Interna do Porto. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
