Walking
If you are starting from the main square, Praça de Camões, head northeast. Walk towards the Rua do Comércio and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, and you will see the Castelo de Chaves on your left. The castle is located at Praça de Camões 14.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Chaves Bus Station, take the local bus heading to the city center. The bus will take you to the Praça de Camões stop. Once you get off, walk towards the castle which is just a short 5-minute walk straight ahead. Follow the directions as provided above.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Praça de Camões. Head northeast towards Rua do Comércio, then take a left onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. It's about a 10-minute ride to Castelo de Chaves, which you will find on your left-hand side after you pass the roundabout.
