By Car
From Peso da Régua, take the N-322 road heading northeast. After about 18 km, you'll reach the village of Numão. As you enter the village, look for signs directing you to Castelo de Numão. The castle is located on a hill, and you might need to navigate a narrow road leading up to the entrance at R. Direita, 5155-619. Please note that parking is limited near the castle.
By Public Transportation
Start your journey at the Peso da Régua train station. Take a regional train to Pinhão. From Pinhão, you can catch a local bus heading towards Numão. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Numão, you will have to walk up to the castle as it is situated on a hill. The walk from the bus stop to the castle is about 1 km uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from either Peso da Régua or Pinhão. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as taxi prices can vary. The ride from Peso da Régua to Castelo de Numão should take around 20 minutes, while from Pinhão it should take about 15 minutes.
