If you are traveling by car from the Douro Valley, take the N222 road towards Vila Nova de Gaia. Follow the signs for A1 towards Porto. After approximately 1 hour of driving, merge onto the A1 highway. Take exit 15 towards Vila Nova de Gaia. Continue on Rua de 31 de Janeiro until you reach Av. da Beira-Mar. Praia de Lavadores will be on your right at Av. da Beira-Mar 751. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a small fee.

To reach Praia de Lavadores via public transportation, start by taking a train from Peso da Régua to Porto. The train station in Peso da Régua is located in the town center. Once you arrive in Porto at São Bento Station, transfer to the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Senhora da Hora. Get off at the 'Casa da Música' station and transfer to the Metro Line A (Blue Line) in the direction of Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at 'General Torres' station. From there, it is a 15-minute walk down to Praia de Lavadores. Follow the signs towards the river, and then head along Av. da Beira-Mar.
