Travel Guide to Farol Hotas

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Ericeira. Head south on Rua da Liberdade towards Avenida do Mar. Continue straight onto Rua de São Sebastião and then turn left onto Rua do Norte. Follow this road until you reach the end, where it will curve right and become Rua do Moinho. Continue straight, and you will see signs for Farol Hotas. The destination will be on your right. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Farol Hotas using public transportation, take a local bus from Ericeira to the nearest stop. Start by heading to the main bus station in Ericeira located on Avenida de Portugal. Look for bus routes that head towards the coastal areas or specifically to the 'Farol' area. Once you disembark at the nearest stop, you may need to walk about 10-15 minutes towards Farol Hotas, following the coastal path. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you towards the lighthouse and beach area.

• Walking

  If you are already in Ericeira and prefer to walk, start from the central square (Praça dos Navegantes). Head towards the coast and take the pedestrian path that leads along the beach. This will eventually lead you to the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Continue along this path until you reach the lighthouse area where Farol Hotas is located. The walk is scenic and will take approximately 20-30 minutes, providing you with beautiful views of the coastline.
