Car
If you are traveling by car, make sure to have a GPS or a map application handy. From Lisbon, take the A1 motorway towards Coimbra and exit at A10 towards Azambuja. Continue on the A10 until you reach the exit for the N114 towards Alenquer. Follow the N114 until you see signs for Serra de Montejunto. The drive should take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on traffic. Upon arrival, there is parking available near the entrance to the park.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start your journey by taking a train from Lisbon's Santa Apolónia station to Alenquer. The train ride takes about 50 minutes. From Alenquer, you will need to take a taxi or a rideshare service to reach Serra de Montejunto, as public bus options are limited. The taxi ride from Alenquer to Serra de Montejunto will take about 20 minutes and will cost approximately €15-€20. Make sure to check the train schedule in advance to plan your trip accordingly.
