Bus
From Faro city center, head to the Faro Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Faro), which is located just a short walk from the main square, Praça da República. Take the bus number 2 towards Loulé. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Loulé Bus Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Rua 1º de Maio). Turn left and walk straight until you reach the roundabout, where you will find a sign for R. Dom Paio Peres Correia. Follow the signs, and the Castelo de Loulé will be on your right after a 10-minute walk.
Train
From Faro train station, purchase a ticket for a train heading to Loulé. The train journey takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Loulé train station, exit the station and turn right onto Av. José da Costa Mealha. Walk for about 15 minutes following this road until it leads you to the town center. When you reach the roundabout, continue straight onto R. Dom Paio Peres Correia. The Castelo de Loulé will be located on your left side.
Walking
If you find yourself in the central area of Faro, you can take a scenic walking route to Loulé. Start at the Praça da República and head north towards the Rua de Portugal. Follow this road as it leads you out of Faro. It may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Once you reach Loulé, navigate towards R. Dom Paio Peres Correia, where the Castelo de Loulé is located.
