The Majestic Cathedral of Faro: A Historical Gem

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Faro Marina, head east along the waterfront until you reach Rua de Portugal. Turn left onto Rua de Portugal and continue straight. You'll pass several shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Rua Infante D. Henrique. Turn right on Rua Infante D. Henrique, which will lead you directly to Largo da Sé, where the Cathedral de Faro is located.

  From the Faro Train Station, exit the station and turn right onto Avenida da República. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Rua de Portugal. Walk straight until you arrive at the intersection with Rua Infante D. Henrique. Turn right and follow the street until you reach Largo da Sé, where the Cathedral de Faro is situated.

  If you are near the Faro Bus Station, exit the station and head south on Rua de 5 Outubro. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua Infante D. Henrique. Turn left onto Rua Infante D. Henrique and walk straight until you arrive at Largo da Sé, where the Cathedral de Faro is located.

• Public Transport

  If you are coming from nearby towns, take a bus to Faro Bus Station. Upon arrival, exit the station and follow the directions provided for walking from the bus station to Largo da Sé. The walk is approximately 15 minutes.
