Train
From Faro, head to the Faro train station located at Av. da República 20. Purchase a ticket to Silves, which is approximately a 30-minute journey. Once you arrive at Silves train station, exit the station and head north on Estrada da Estação. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Rua 1º de Maio and continue walking until you reach the main square, Praça Alcaide. From there, follow the signs to the historic center, which is about a 15-minute walk.

At the Faro bus station located at Avenida da República, catch a bus to Silves. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. When you arrive at Silves, disembark at the main bus stop in the town center. From there, walk towards Rua do Saco, which is a 10-minute walk. Follow Rua do Saco until you reach Miradouro das muralhas de Silves.

If you prefer walking in Faro, start at the Arco da Vila, a well-known landmark. From there, head towards the waterfront and continue along the promenade until you reach the train station. You can then take a train to Silves following the instructions above. Alternatively, you could enjoy your time in Faro before taking public transport to Silves.
