Enforca Cães: A Canine Wonderland in Buarcos

Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Figueira da Foz, head southeast on Avenida da República towards Rua Dr. João de Almeida. Continue straight onto Rua João de Barros. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto Estrada da Praia. Continue straight and follow signs for Buarcos. As you approach Buarcos, look for signs directing you to Enforca Cães, which is located near the beach area. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus from the main bus terminal in Figueira da Foz. Look for the bus lines that head towards Buarcos. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Buarcos, disembark at the main stop and walk towards the beach. Enforca Cães is a short walk from there, approximately 500 meters. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as the frequency may vary.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Buarcos area, you can easily walk to Enforca Cães. From the beach promenade, head northeast along the coastline. It’s about a 10-minute walk. Follow the path that runs alongside the beach, and you will see Enforca Cães as you approach the area. This is a pleasant route with beautiful views of the ocean.
