If you are driving from central Lisbon, head south on Avenida da Liberdade toward the Praça dos Restauradores. Continue straight onto Rua da Palma, then turn right onto Rua de São José. Merge onto the A2 motorway via the ramp to Almada. Follow the A2 for about 15 km and take exit 1 toward Costa da Caparica. Continue on the IC20, and then follow signs for the 'Padrao dos Descobrimentos' in Lisbon.
