Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Praça do Comércio, head northeast towards the Rua do Ouro. Walk along Rua do Ouro until you reach the intersection with the Rua da Prata, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach the Largo do Carmo. From there, take the steps leading up to the Miradouro de Santa Catarina. Continue along the path until you reach the Largo Portas do Sol, where the Miradouro das Portas do Sol is located. The entire walk will take about 20 minutes.

Metro and Walking
From any Metro station, take the Blue Line to the Rossio station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to Praça do Rossio. From here, walk up the Rua 1º de Dezembro, taking a right onto the Rua da Conceição. Continue straight until you reach the Largo do Chafariz de Dentro. From there, walk up the hill to Largo Portas do Sol. This combination of Metro and walking will take approximately 25-30 minutes.

Tram and Walking
Catch tram number 28 from Martim Moniz station. Ride the tram until you reach the stop at Miradouro de Santa Luzia. Once you disembark, walk east towards the Largo Portas do Sol. You will enjoy beautiful views along the way. The total time for this route, including tram ride and walking, is around 25 minutes.

Take any bus that travels towards the Alfama district, such as the 737 or 794, and get off at the stop 'São Vicente'. From there, walk towards the Largo Portas do Sol, which is approximately a 10-minute walk uphill. This option may take about 30 minutes in total.
